about

Latest single “Gone” is matched with 3 equally sublime tracks for the extended play release “Havoc”. The guitar/synth/pop duo continues to showcase an affinity for grazing the stratosphere with lush instrumentation enveloping crafted pop songs dealing the uncertainty of forging ahead after entangling devotion with transgression.

New tracks "Visions", "Right Here" and title track "Havoc" showcase a wider range of electronic instrumentation and broadens the band’s signature sound of expansive guitars and electronic pop. While the broadened sonic palette lends texture and depth to the compositions, the focused songwriting remains the centerpiece. Tuneful and introspective, the songs voice defiance in the face of adversity. The Havoc EP is available from April 30th on Ephemeral Arts Records in limited 7” vinyl and digital formats.

The Blessed Isles is Nolan Thies and Aaron Closson—one part Brooklyn, New York and one part Dallas, Texas. After the duo’s debut full-length release in 2016, Closson began feeling unwell and experiencing symptoms that led to a diagnosis of a brain tumor. Future plans were put on hold. After a successful craniotomy, Closson slowly resumed sharing ideas with Thies. The resulting music documents the period of uncertainty following his health crisis, as well as the dissolution of his marriage.

The new music showcases a wider range of electronic instrumentation and expands on the band’s signature sound of expansive guitars and electronic pop. While the broadened sonic palette lends texture and depth to the compositions, the focused songwriting remains the centerpiece. Tuneful and introspective, the songs voice defiance in the face of adversity. The Havoc EP is due out spring of 2020 on Ephemeral Arts Records.
